Hometown Hunt

Hello and Welcome back to,

Gossip & Giggles with T!

So I was asked by Eventbrite to join their Hometown Hunt, to inspire people to go out and explore their hometowns. I have been living in Hertfordshire all my life, particularly Watford for the last 12 years. The perk of living somewhere for years is that you know off all the fun things to do in your area. So, I am going to share with you some of my favourite places to go when growing up here in, Watford, Hertfordshire.

Cassiobury Park is one of my favourite parks near me, it is the best place to go with family and friends. If you love being outdoors, surrounded by nature and exploring then this is the park for you. A lot of Cassiobury Park is fields and forests, they have a park, a miniature railway, swimming pools and they host some of the best events. My favourite being Cassiobury Fireworks! This year, Cassiobury Fireworks is taking place on Saturday 5th November 2016 at Cassiobury Park, staring at 6PM to 8:30PM The evening is full of music, fireworks and happy spirits. It’s family friendly and free too!

Ocean Bells Coffee Company is a little Cafe on Watford High Street where I love to go. They sell the best cups of tea there! The Cafe is very nice, quiet and relaxing. It’s one of go to places when I want to have a catch up with my friends.

I have never really been a big fan of golf but Top Golf, I can not get enough of it. I am a very competitive girl and when it comes to Top Golf, I take it very seriously. At Top Golf in Watford they have Top Golf, where you simply hit the ball from one location on to the green, aiming for the targets and Adventure Golf, which is an 18 hole putting course. They are both incredibly fun!

Watford Colosseum and Watford Palace Theater are two places that I LOVE, but never go to enough. If your a massive fan of performances, comedy and music, then these are the places you need to be! They hold great shows and a lot of them are open to all ages.

Now this is kind of cheating because the next two are not exactly in Watford, but it’s not outside either…

Hollywood Bowl is another favourite place I like to go, especially around this time of year. When you get older, trick or treating is not something you can get away with, so I find it’s the perfect place to spend time with your friends, have fun and you’re in the warmth. There is lot’s to do at Hollywood Bowl including a Bowling Ally, Arcade and a small Diner. I always have a lot of fun there with my groups of friends, but my bank account does not agree… penny machines at the arcade can become very addictive!

Next door to Hollywood Bowl is VUE. I love going to the cinema, and being up to date with my films. I tend to leave watching the horror movies until they are released though. I’m one of those girls who will sit behind a pillow or be on her phone whilst watching a horror movie haha! I sometimes find it’s the best way to relax with your friends, and be out of the house but also have a good time.

For all those interested in Eventbrite, they are “the largest self-service ticketing platform in the world that helps people find and plan events.” Who are working on a project to inspire people to go out and explore their hometown! Here’s a link to their Events page for all those who are interested in finding out more: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/l/event-management-software/

Let me know of all your favourite places to go in your area and what you’ll be up to this Halloween!

But, for now that is all!

I hope you’ll stick around until next time!

I hope you enjoyed reading! Catch you next week with another blog,

Much Love,

– T
