Hello and Welcome back to,
Gossip & Giggles with T!
WOW! It’s been a while since I have posted! I hope you’re all well. Over this next month in lead up to Christmas I will posting twice a week. – Upload day’s are Tuesday’s and Friday’s at 6PM!
For those that don’t know me, I am Christmas crazy!! I love everything about this time of year, from Christmas Spice candles to fresh white snow. It’s the one time of year where everyone is happy and when I feel most creative!
So keeping in the spirit of Christmas, today’s post is about Christmas Boxes. This year, my mum decided that instead of having stockings, we would have boxes. Stockings are good, but they never seem to be big enough!
SO, I thought this was a great chance to bring out my creative side and I told my mum I would decorate these boxes and I thought why not blog about how I plan on decorating these boxes! If you enjoy being creative then you’ll love this!
What you will need:
- Christmas Wrapping Paper
- Boxes of any size
- Decorations for the boxes
- First you need to place your box center of the wrapping paper.
- Then trace round the box with the pencil.
- You will need to turn the box on all four sides, doing this will create a net. Make sure all four sides have an extra inch on it so you can fold it over the box. – This will make it easier to tape and will avoid any inaccurate measurements.
- You can then cut out the net, and begin taping the sides of the box.
When you are taping the boxes up, to avoid any tares I recommend tapping the sides too. This makes the box more firm making it easier to decorate and also makes it look nicer.
Once your box is nicely covered you can begin decorating!
I chose to decorate these boxes as simple as possible because of how nice the wrapping paper is. I chose to cut out the front of Christmas cards and stuck them on there along with their initial!
My Box on the other hand I decorated a bit differently… I found if you use the brown card in the wrapping paper tubes it allows you to decorate more!
and there you have it! Nicely decorated, Christmas boxes just waiting to be filled with everything that won’t fit in your stocking! I hope you enjoyed this blog post and let me know if you try this out and how you get on! Remember I am back on Tuesday and Friday with another Christmas Blog Post!
