Hello and Welcome to,

Gossip & Giggles with T!

I was unsure on what to write about today, well that was until I was also unsure about what movie I should watch on Netflix while I write.

Not knowing what to watch made me think about how many people that are in the same boat! Well no longer… Each month, I am going to share with you “What I’ve Been Watching on Netflix”, This will include – Movies, TV Shows, Documentaries… everything I have been watching even the ones I have started but not quite liked! These will on be on Netflix UK, I will, however, try to find out if they are shown in any other countries!

I have already shared with you, some of my favourite TV-Shows – Summer Series Binge So, today I am going to share with you some of my favourite movies!

Up First is Grown Ups 1 & 2! I am obsessed with these two movies and thankfully they are both currently on Netflix UK! They are my go-to films, especially at night time. The film falls into the comedy genre and is about 5 boys who used to play basketball together when they were younger. 30 years later, the same 5 boys are living their separate lives, married with children and completely wrapped up in work. Until they all receive a phone call telling them their old basketball coach has passed. His funeral brings the 5 families together starring Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock and many more, including Taylor Lautner, Salma Hayek and China Anne McClain.

– In the first film, they rent out the lake house for the long weekend, to celebrate the life of their coach. The weekend is full of little white lies, a water park and a lot of laughter.

– The second film is set 3 years after the first and 4 of the guys and their families are now leaving in the town they grow up in. Still telling little white lies except for this time it’s not to each other, it’s to their Wifes. It is full of more laughter, drunk cops, a 1980’s Party and a lot of Unwanted guests!

Angus Thongs and the Perfect Snogging is one of my all time favourite chick flicks and boy am I glad that it is on Netflix! The film is about a girl named Georgia (Georgia Groome) who’s about to turn 15 and is still learning everything about being a teenager from the pencil tests to snogging, to the new boys on the block, Robbie (Aaron Johnson) and Tom Jennings. Georgia falls head over heels for Robbie and with the help from her friends, Georgia does all she can to impress Robbie!

Mamma Mia! Here I go again… I watch this film way too much! There is nothing nicer than a romantic film, with a bit of ABBA to sing-a-long to! The film is about a girl, Sophie Sheridan played by Amanda Seyfried who is brought up by her Mum Donna, played by Meryl Streep on a Greek island. Sophie comes across an old diary of her Mums where she finds out there are three men who could be her father. Sophie want’s her father to give her away at her wedding which is right around the corner! So she invites all three to the island and figures after spending time with all three she will know exactly who her father is! With a dash of family drama, comedy and a lot of love makes for this great movie!

The Longest Ride is a very moving movie. It is based on the Nicholas Sparks book! It’s about a guy named Luke (Scott Eastwood) who has a bull riding accident and despite being warned not to ride again, he does it so he can win the cash for his mum and his sheer love for it. He meets an Art enthusiast one day called Sophie (Britt Robertson) at a Bull Riding event and from the moment they met they hit it off. That is until she tells him she’s off to New York City to pursue an internship she has already got. After the bombshell about her leaving in a few weeks, he takes her back home that is until they see a car crashed into a tree. They rescue the man from the car and a box he had told them to get. The box belonged to the old man and inside it is letters he wrote when he was much younger to the love of his life Ruth. The letters don’t just follow the relationship of Ruth and Ira, but it helps build a strong friendship between Sophie and Ira and connects Sophie and Luke. The romantic drama is a tear jerker, especially with its many plot twists and definitely one you should give a watch!

The Breakfast Club is a classic! I have been waiting and waiting for this movie to be put on to Netflix! The wait is finally over! If you have never heard of The Breakfast Club… well where have you been? This film has got to be one of the greatest out there! It is about 5 High School students who all have a Saturday detention. All five of them run in different ‘crowds’ at school. However, they soon come to realise after they all open up, that there is more to them than the categories they are placed in. The Drama Comedy is very insightful into the extremes of high school and the pressures young people face from not only their peers but teachers too.

The Amazing Spider Man, you can’t go wrong with a Marvel! This film stars two of my favourite actors Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield and like the original Spider Man movies, it follows the same suit with Peter living with his Aunt and Uncle and being bitten by a spider! But there are some great changes the first being Mary Jane is now Gwen and Peter is on a mission to find out the truth behind the death of his parents! This and the second one’s are a must watch!
