Hello and Welcome back to,
Gossip & Giggles with T!
Christmas is literally around the corner, and boy am I excited! One thing that we used to always forget to buy was always a wreath! In the last few years, we have managed to remember, but it got me thinking what could we do if we did?
I never realised how easy it is to make a last minute wreath. You can make it a number of ways, of course, the traditional with the foliage or you could use any decorations that you have left over.
Now I chose to use leftover decorations, what you will need:
– Wreath (I got mine from HobbyCraft – £4)
– 2 different colours of Tinsel
– A bunch of Baubles
– Gorilla Glue or Super Glue
Step 1: Strip the ends of both bits of Tinsel and wrap the Tinsel around the Wreath. Once it’s fully wrapped around, tie the ends of the Tinsel together, that way it will stay on the Wreath.
Step 2: You then wrap the other colour of Tinsel around the Wreath. To look like this…
Step 3: Once the Wreath is covered in Tinsel you can now glue on the Baubles. I found that it looked so much better when the Baubles are spread out around the Wreath, and grouped. I recommend putting glue on the top of the Bauble and pushing it down into the polystyrene and hold it for a few seconds.
Step 4: You’ll want to get some string, wrap it around the wreath and tie it. Then you’ll want to make a loop and then tie the other end around the wreath. This is so you can hang it up.
This is what my final wreath looks like and it’s currently hanging in my hallway!
If you’re going to make your own wreath, be sure to send me pictures – I’d love to see them!
But for now, that is all.
