Hello and Welcome to,

One of the first posts I uploaded on this blog was a recipe for Spaghetti Bolognese and since then I have been experimenting a lot with the different ways to make it. I think this recipe that I am sharing with you is the tastiest and easiest way to make Spaghetti Bolognese. I hope you enjoy!
The cooking time should be around 45 minutes to 1 hour.
What you will need to make this dish is:
- A handful of Spaghetti
- 500g Mince
- Peppers (1/2 Orange, 1/2 Yellow and 1/2 Red)
- 1 clove of Garlic
- 1 Onion
- 2 spring onions
- Ground Smoked Paprika
- Tomato Puree
- 1 tin of Chopped Tomatoes
Step 1 – Put the heat on high, and brown the mince.
Whilst the mince is browning this gives you time to prep the vegetables that you want to put in. I like to add peppers (1/2 of each pepper), 2 spring onions, 1 onion, and a garlic clove.
Step 2 – Once the mince is fully browned I like to add a dash of pepper, salt, and ground smoked paprika. It’s better to do this when there’s nothing but mince in the pan because it allows the mince to properly season.
Step 3 – I then like to add all the vegetables to the seasoned mince. Once they’re in the pan make sure you mix them in together. Then add a tablespoon of tomato puree and mix that in too.
Step 4 – Once it’s all in, you then add the tin of chopped tomatoes. I like to add about half a tin of water to it, just to make it a bit juicier! I then put a lid on the pan, and I turn the heat to about a 2 and I let it simmer. Just be sure to give it a sit every now and then.
Step 5 – Now that it’s simmering, I like to start on the pasta and the broccoli. Fill 2 pans up halfway, and put them both on the hob at a high temperature. Once the water is boiling break the spaghetti in half and chop the broccoli up, and carefully place them into the pan. The trick to stopping the pasta from sticking to the pan is to stir the pasta frequently, but you don’t have to stand there – just let it do its thing.
Step 6 – Once the pasta and broccoli are soft – which could take from 15 – 25 minutes, you can drain them. The mince would have been cooking for a good 45 minutes now, so it will all be ready to eat!
This meal is quick, easy to make, full of flavour and it’s definitely filling. It can feed 4, maybe 6 people depending on portion size!
Let me know if you decide to make it and be sure to send in your pictures!
That’s all for now!
Until next time,
